Lively, Modern Art Museum Wedding at NCMA in Raleigh with Emily & Michael
Lively Modern Art Museum Wedding at North Carolina Museum of Art with Emily & Michael
The North Carolina Museum of Art is home to many of my engagement and family sessions. But this time, I was there as a documentary photographer for Emily & Michael’s wedding ceremony. It’s really cool how you can take a public place that people visit to see sculptures and art and still make it magical for a wedding ceremony. I especially enjoyed the black and white tiled dance floor that was spread before the museum entrance, a very different view of night time at the museum.
You might remember Emily and Michael from their downtown bungalow engagement shoot, a super cozy moment between the two as they gave me a little glimpse of their world. In contrast, this modern wedding ceremony was a lively affair.
Emily and Michael’s friends and family gathered in between the glass building for a intimate ceremony and took to the dance floor for a night of wild dancing and an overall celebration of love. Not only did Grandma make it to the dance floor, but Michael also lost his shirt late into the night. For those couples who are looking for candid shots of their big day, just know that I am your girl. Documentary photography is one of my absolute favorite things to do as a professional photographer. I’m willing to go out and mingle with your guests and dance on your dance floor, all to ensure that you have real shots of what went down the day you tied the knot. And just look at these results, you can tell that Emily & Michael’s wedding was anything short of energetic!
