Summer Engagement Photos at NCMA with Linnea & Cody
Linnea & Cody will be getting married in Raleigh, NC this fall and I am so excited to be working with them. Linnea & Cody met at work and have been together for 8 years and they will be getting married on their 9th year together, during our initial meet, Linnea mentioned that the couple had jokingly said maybe they’d wait another year so that when they do get married it will be close to their 10 year anniversary! I couldn’t help but laugh and find this reminiscent of a fun loving couple with lots of love in one another.
One thing I always ask my couples is what attracts them to my photography and for Linnea & Cody they found that my photos are more than the traditional tastes that are often captured on a wedding day. I am one of those photographers who like to stay in the moment and truly capture the couple, supporting them to show off their best selves behind the lens!
For this engagement shoot, the three of us walked around the North Carolina Museum of Art and enjoyed the sculptures in the park area and afterwards were able to grab more photos at Two Roosters. They mentioned that this ice cream shop is a tradition for them for whenever they have museum days together and I loved that they wanted to incorporate something as simple as a stop they make on the way to the sculpture park on date days. I always encourage couples to find something unique about themselves to incorporate into their photos to make it feel more like them and Linnea & Cody certainly did just that!
