Colorful Summer Spring Wedding at The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve with Meghan & Councill

I’m sure you remember the nostalgic bowling alley engagement I did last year.

Well, here we are, full circle with the most vibrant Summer Spring Wedding the Carolinas have ever known. And it was indeed everything that Meghan & Councill had hoped for: it was BIG, BRIGHT, LOUD & FUN!

If you recall, Meghan & Councill had stated that they “started dating by accident, but now we’re getting married on purpose!” And wowza, there were so many purposeful, impactful details in their wedding day.

Let’s start with the bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen ties, which all featured floral patterns that featured the color scheme in such a light and airy way, but also perfectly complemented the variety of florals that were carefully placed on the wedding arch and laid out on the wedding aisle. I mean just look at how lively and bright the bridal bouquet was. The attention to detail in having the bridesmaid dresses include the floral replicas was just chef’s kiss! And let’s not forget the beer carting donkey!!!

Next up, I want to talk about the use of the florals and furniture in the reception area to continue this spring/summer vision. A lot of weddings nowadays have the rustic vibe with lots of wood, burlaps, antique accessories, greenery, etc. And all of this is so beautiful when it comes together. But the way in which, Meghan & Councill not only used colorful hanging floral decorations with cute glass vases to showcase them on tables, but then went one step further to use an almost wicker like chair for the main table, really sealed the deal with the vision. And the umbrellas that they had prepared for some light rain made for some great photo opportunities!

But gosh, I cannot stop thinking of how the dance floor with the disco balls and 80s glasses which really brought us back to their retro engagement shoot. The dance floor was filled with guests, and everyone passed around the many fun lighting toys that the couple had prepared for the night. We had the groom and guests in light up crowns, singing and dancing along, and having the time of their lives. Shout out to Izzy the Burro who kept the drinks flowing!

I obviously want to say that Meghan’s feathered sleeves and afterparty outfit just deserved a moment for itself. I mean, come on, she was the definition of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” in the entire get up!

It’s always such a magical time to see how the couples I work with are able to bring together the vision they describe to me when we first meet. And this was definitely one of the most fun parties I’ve been able to attend this year!

So everyone raise your disco ball cups for Meghan & Councill and their beautiful wedding at The Meadows at Firefly Preserve.
