Boylan Bridge Downtown Raleigh Proposal with Erik & Emily
Dog friendly Boylan Bridge Downtown Raleigh Proposal with Erik & Emily
Imagine you are walking through downtown with your significant other after a nice little brunch and out of nowhere you suddenly see your dogs walking up to you with your friend.
I don’t think Erik could have planned this proposal any better. Walking across the Boylan Bridge in Downtown Raleigh, Emily was very unsuspecting of any and all passerbys (Myself + camera included). When he was giving me the details, he mentioned that they frequent this bridge often with their two huskies. It’s a special spot for them and they’ve shared many memories during these walks.
But the absolute shock and joy on Emily’s face as her huskies walked up and then the utter disbelief when she turned to ask Erik why the dogs were out, but found him instead on one knee with a ring… no rom com author could have written this moment any better. The huskies were also each wearing a adorable little heart shaped signs saying “Marry” “Me”. Erik truly thought out all the important details!
After the proposal, Emily was still in a happy haze and I found her constantly looking at the new ring on her finger, her smile just beyond words can describe.
Proposals are always so unique and as a photographer, I’ve captured many but lately I feel as if everyone has upped their game in the nostalgia department. They also find impressive ways to include inside jokes or comments said in passing by their significant others. It’s just nice to see such beautiful gestures and the ways in which people go all out for each other.
