Graduation and Senior Portraits with the Class of 2025 at UNC Chapel Hill Campus
The graduation photo season this year went by in a blur. And as always, I didn’t know what to expect.
Often times parents of seniors reach out in hopes of photos of themselves at their college. But this year, I had many people reach out regarding group graduation photos.
I think it’s pretty awesome when a group of friends reach out wanting to capture their last moments together on campus. There isn’t anything wrong with wanting to have solo photos taken, but it’s always worth celebrating the moment with the people who were beside you from day one or from the buddy you met in your physics class.
I also really enjoy the creativity this allows me as an artist. Some of my favorite shots were having this fun loving group of seniors recreate moments in places they have visited so many times. From screaming at your football team to get the ball to the end zone in Kenan stadium, to iconic album photos in front of the steps of the Davis library that no one ever really studied in… These were such fun ways to tell the story of how you spent your college years and to help you tell the story when your grandkids one day ask why annoying Uncle Tom, from your college days who isn’t even your actual uncle, is always invited to Thanksgiving.
