Sweet, Intimate Winter Courthouse Wedding in Raleigh with Alston & Tom
Courthouse Wedding in Downtown Raleigh with Alston & Tom
Alston and Tom met online and started dating three years ago, and it didn’t take long to know that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.
I always tell my clients that your wedding day is about you. And what I love about Alston is that even though she knew that an elopement and civil ceremony was the type of ceremony she envisioned, she did not want to miss out on spending time doing the traditional part of having beautiful wedding portraits made.
The part that I feel is different when it comes to a civil ceremony, is that a lot of the memories are captured in a very documentary styled manner. I get to be there in the room that it happens and it’s such a short amount of time in comparison to other ceremonies, but it doesn’t make the moment any less special. This particular ceremony, I grabbed a few shots of Alston and Tom’s loved ones cheering in the seats and smiling and hugging one another. And those moments made for such a genuine and lovely momento of their wedding day.
For those people who are considering big wedding vs small wedding, what I’ll tell you is this: No matter what, you’ll always want your memories preserved and there is not a budget to making sure that the right photographer captures those moments for you!
