Romantic Picnic Proposal at Umstead Park in Raleigh with Shelby & Jonathan
As a photographer it’s always so fun when a friend reaches out and asks me to take part in their special moments. It’s just exciting to be in on a big secret or to be able to witness the start of their story.
Jonathan had been planning this proposal for awhile and went through so many rough drafts before deciding that he wanted to do a nice picnic with a few friends at Umstead Park. We sat by the water and he ordered a board from Raleigh Cheesy, and Shelby’s sister and nieces were all invited.
I don’t think Shelby saw it coming … because when he got down on one knee and popped the question she was surprised and overwhelmed with happiness.
I’m really excited for their mountain wedding in October and I can’t wait to celebrate with her again soon.
Here’s to one of my best friends and the man who makes her happy! Shelby & Jonathan, I’m so excited for you guys!!!
