Chrisy & Lee Bring Chic, Pop-Savvy Vibes to a Courthouse Ceremony

Chrisy & Lee Bring Chic, Pop-Savvy Vibes to Courthouse ceremony and portraits

Who says the portraits must happen after the vows? Chrisy and Lee wanted a wedding that looked and felt their own, and I was so here for it.

The vision was to channel their inner Charli XCX and George Daniel for a chic, non-traditional courthouse ceremony in downtown Raleigh. While the couple is planning an elopement adventure at Glacier National Park later this year, they knew they wanted their closest family and friends surrounding them to make things official first.

Friday afternoons at the Wake County Courthouse have been exceptionally busy lately, with wait times easily stretching past two hours. My biggest advice for courthouse weddings? Arrive early! Chrisy and Lee did just that, securing their spot at the front of the line while keeping things relaxed. They played hacky sack, chatted with loved ones, and we snapped beautiful, stress-free family portraits before the lobby filled up. After exchanging vows in front of their favorite people, they capped off the afternoon by grabbing a hot dog from a street cart.

Your wedding day doesn't have to follow a standard rulebook to be unforgettable. I love working with couples who hold space for authenticity. If you want to design a wedding day that feels entirely yours, I’d love to capture your memories.
