The Sutherland is a beautiful hidden venue in Wake Forest, NC that is the rustic dream for brides and grooms who want a little emphasis on woodsy and earthy tones with organic greenery and a more country side aesthetic. A secret part of the venue is the piano room, and if you scroll through this gallery, you’ll see how I posed Sabrina & Alex in a romantic serenade for some of their wedding portraits, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Now back to the wedding deets… Sabrina & Alex brought to life the most perfect spring day for their wedding ceremony. I mean, the florals were absolutely breathtaking and I loved that they didn’t stick with traditional suit colors and instead chose a navy suit for the groom and groomsmen. The non matching pastel bridesmaids dresses also gave spring vibes and were a gorgeous pop of color against the greenery that The Sutherland offers. The two of them met while attending UNC and the rest is kind of history!
My favorite part of their reception was seeing the soda bar, which was sponsored by their fur baby, Rosalind. The two of them searched for creative ways to incorporate the cat they share, and what better way than having a special drink named after their favorite girl.
