Springtime Courthouse Wedding in Downtown Raleigh with Aly & Kyle
Courthouse weddings have become pretty common since the era of COVID. But in reality, so many people have often chosen this route because it’s a no stress and intimate way that happens to also allow you to save money and splurge where you want. Whether it be for a nice dinner with your close friends or family, the honeymoon or on documenting the day, there’s always some aspect of the wedding day that is most important to the engaged couple.
In my case, a lot of couples reach out because they want to be able to create the best keepsakes of their wedding day and have wedding portraits with those guests that they feel are most important to them. Brides and grooms also love to have portraits of them dressed up in their wedding day gear around the downtown area that they call home.
As someone who has documented plenty of Raleigh and Durham civil ceremonies, I will say that both cities offer amazing city backdrops that are iconic and are enjoyable to all. I know plenty of spots for fun shots, but I also love it when couples come to me and tell me of a place that holds importance in their relationship and we get to take some photos there too!
