Heartfelt Civil Ceremony in Downtown Durham with Anne Sutton & Ellen
Civil ceremonies are one of my favorite events to shoot as a Raleigh Durham wedding photographer. Reason being they are intimate, unique, and such a low stress situation for the couple getting married that I feel like I have so much time to get to know my clients.
Anne Sutton & Ellen met on Hinge back in 2021 and then moved from Iowa to North Carolina shortly after. They are the proud moms of two cats, Roland and Frankie. Some of their favorite things to do together include: trying new restaurants, harmonizing, dancing, and watching movies.
I really enjoyed their overall vibe as they strolled through downtown durham with the brightest smiles. Every pose I asked them to do felt so effortless and they just had this very easygoing feeling all day long. You could just feel how excited and happy they were to be getting married. I especially enjoyed that they didn’t partake in those traditional white wedding dress values and instead wore black and the brightest pink striped skirt that I am just obsessed with!!!!
