Raleigh Courthouse Wedding with Portraits at the Raleigh Rose Garden Portraits with Qwen & Meron
Qwen & Meron met at NC State and have dated since 2015 and lived in NYC for a couple years before returning to the Raleigh area around February of 2023. They both share a love for anime, silly instagram videos, museums, adventures and most importantly FOOD!!!!!
Microweddings and Elopements are pretty popular nowadays and for Qwen & Meron this simple civil ceremony at the Raleigh courthouse was what they envisioned for their wedding day celebrations.
They actually mentioned in their initial email that what struck them to take this non-traditional approach to marriage was one of my blogs on elopement! :O I know that often times people assume that if they are partaking in a courthouse wedding ceremony that there is nothing extremely romantic to be captured. But the thing is, you actually leave so much room for meaningful, tasteful portraits. I’ve actually grabbed so many of these special moments on the top of parking decks, around downtown landmarks in the city, and in museum exhibits, etc. I also don’t mind traveling with you to a spot where you feel like would be perfect for your portraits before or after your ceremony just so you don’t feel like we’re only getting shots of you at the courthouse!
The truth is, anywhere can be made a great background for the couples portraits that a newly married couple has in mind, and I am always up for discussion and collaborating with couples to ensure that their vision for what those portraits should look like are properly carried out.
