I feel like I have been waiting years to tell you that Little Loaf Bakery and Schoolhouse is finally open. I met Julia when she had just started her baking journey, traveling the world to learn the best techniques and recipes to bake exquisite bread and pastries. Little Loaf isn’t just a bakery, but Julia is allowing artisans to host classes there to teach their craft to others. This inclusive and homey space is the newest addition to Wilmington’s growing community of makers. Before their grand opening Julia invited me into her custom-built space to get a capture some photos for her website and branding. Hard at work baking custom orders for the myriad of restaurants in the area she bakes for I was able to watch her knead, roll, shape, and stretch her dough to create the variety of breads she produces at the bakery.
Julia even has a garden in the back where she harvests rosemary and other herbs for her creations. The large outdoor back patio has been the location of several events, as well as her soft launch party. I can already see it bustling during the summer and fall months.
I absolutely loved being able to capture these branding photos for this Wilmington business and can’t wait to see all the amazing accomplishments coming to Julia in the future.
