Did you know I’m actually a New Yorker?

Well - I mean I born and raised in NC but my entire family is from NY thus while my friends were growing up on grits and country ham biscuits I had biscotti and english muffins with jam (or bagels and schmear)

But I never really get to travel to NY - The last time I saw Steven (my cousin) I think I was 7 or 8 (besides the trips he takes to NC)

Fast forward a million years and now he’s getting married, I’m shooting weddings in New York and I was able to stop by Kingston and get a tour of the city.

We explored a hidden waterfall before a busload (no seriously there was a bus) of people came to take photos. Then we went to Arrowwood Farms for beer and then to a fabulous sushi place before heading back to their house to take photos with the pups.

Also that awesome as hell backdrop that looks like abandoned tunnels was in the parking lot of the park they were going to take me to - SCORE!

So yes we battled some spiders but overall I had a great time in NY and I can’t wait to head back for their winter wedding in 2020
