I’m sure a lot of you remember Sarah & Josh from our foggy lake crabtree shoot. They met because of their two schnauzers who were featured in their profile pictures!

Well, their wedding day rolled around and it was such a festive affair! I remember Sarah & Josh both describing their wedding day as a celebration that would be filled with jewel tones, rustic elements and tons of sweet desserts and my, my did they deliver!

I want to start off by saying I was mesmerized by the floral elements of Sarah’s hair, it gave me a kind of Frida Kahlo vibe. Very beautiful and absolutely framed her hair and face in such an elegant way. It matched a lot of the florals we saw throughout the ceremony with the altar and bouquets! And was such a welcome splash of color for such a rustic affair at The Meadows! It’s no wonder that during our portrait shoot, a grasshopper found itself attracted to Sarah and all her floral goodness. (I know the rules… Pics or it didn’t happen, so take a scroll and find that cool moment!)

I also really loved that each bridesmaid was in their own color and that the groomsmen matched each of them with their own matching tie. They were all such rich colors that complemented the vibrant flower displays. And shout out the Dean’s Duets who played wonderful compositions as guests arrived and the ceremony began.

Keeping to some of their Jewish traditions there was a small pre-ceremony, where close family witnessed as they signed their marriage license as well as this beautifully made vow to be each other’s beloved for all time. They made promises to treasure, protect and support one another proudly and the family was all smiles as they signed these two documents.

The ceremony and reception also featured important traditions, including the breaking of glass at the end of the ceremony and of course everyone’s favorite: The Hora! As their friends and family lifted them in their respective chairs in celebration, Sarah & Josh were all smiles and the room was filled with a type of joy that is only ever evident when two great people come together before their family and friends!
