Intimate Elopement in Downtown Raleigh - Jenny & Ryan
Jenny and Ryan are both first responders, and I actually got to hear first hand about their love story from when Jenny practiced her vows while getting ready with the girls in her bridal suite at Historic Mordecai in Downtown Raleigh.
Built in 1785, Historic Mordecai Park was one of the largest plantations in the area. The Mordecai house is the oldest house in Raleigh at its original location. It’s a beautiful in the heart of downtown. What I like most about Historic Mordecai is the deep green and white buildings that contrast nicely with the surrounding greenery. City of Raleigh has inexpensive rentals perfect for weddings, elopements, micro-weddings, events and more. When I was getting married I looked into several City of Raleigh properties including The Tucker House, another great historic Raleigh home.
Jenny and Ryan had a sweet ceremony inside the chapel and we were able to get some great shots outside, even though it was chilly! And the best part was that after the ceremony, we headed over Cantina Driftwood to warm up with some delicious tacos!
