Amanda & Steven - Black Balsam Knob Couple Session

Ya’ll. I love when I’m able to capture people’s love stories, but I especially love it when they are friends!

Amanda and I met almost a decade ago when I rolled into my college dorm, expecting to see my friend Brittany (only to learn she decided to go to a different school at the last minute) and ended up with Amanda. I definitely felt weird, this was a total stranger I was about to be forced to live with for a year, but turns out we had a ton in common. We both grew up in the same small home county, we had friends in common, and she was definitely my saving grace (because I absolutely hated my freshman year and ended up transferring)

After keeping in touch, her traveling the world, Amanda eventually became the maid of honor at my wedding. We have gone on countless girls trips, cried a million tears, and I definitely make my way to the beach with her at least once or twice a year. She is definitely crucial to my life force and I’m so thankful to call her a friend.

So when she started dating Steven (who she did say was a male version of myself) I was so pumped! And even more so when they accompanied us on a socially distanced couples trip in the mountains.

We hiked up Black Balsam, I styled her with my thrifted belt and bad ass dress from Target and I let them be 100% themselves. We even got crazy lucky and was witness to a double rainbow at the end of our journey (before heading back to town to drink Truly’s and eat pizza)

I can’t wait to watch their relationship grow and I’m so thankful I can take cute ass photos of my bad ass friends.
